I live in Budapest and have been to Cyrano a couple of times. First times was alright as they had 50% off due to economical problems, and the waiters treated us nice. But when I went there with my dad this summer it was a disaster.
First of all my dad ordered duck and got served a fish dish. - after an hour of waiting.
Second we didnt get a wine list with the menu and when we finally got our wine, we didnt get wine glasses. The waiter just left the wine at the table and left.
Bad service!!! The place is quite expensive compared to other places in Hungary, so you would expect good service. The food is alright though, but would not recommend it unless it's not crowded :)

We have reason to believe the Cyrano restaurant is the one that charged our credit card $800 for a $40 meal - we suspect rigged handheld creditc card/w/pin machines. I would recommend NEVER using a chip and pin card at a restaurant in Budapest. The police told me some mafia group in town regularly scam tourists in restaruants this way and the police have not been able to catch them yet - nor will you ever get your money back. Once you enter your pin, they "own" you, and will charge your card as much as they want - you have no recourse. BEWARE (Been there, done that, got robbed $800 - pass the word.) (If the police cannot solve it, maybe the internet community can!
